Sandy Cortis Muffler Service is owned and operated by Glenn Magill at Brookvale on Sydneys Northern Beaches. Glenn served his apprenticeship as a motor mechanic nearly thirty years ago and purchased the business six years ago from the original proprietor. The business has built up a strong clientle base over sixteen years of operation and today offers exhaust, mechanical and RRS component fitting services.
On the exhaust side of the business Sandy Cortis Muffler Service offers a wide range of leading brand exhaust components including mufflers, extractors, chrome tips, catalytic converters and full exhaust systems. The team can also custom fabricate anything a customer requires and can provide full mandrel bent systems for performance or street use. Customers requiring the long life attributes of a full stainless system or a coated exhaust are also catered for and all MIG welding is done on site.
The staff is able to provide a full range of mechanical services covering general servicing on classics to modern vehicles and have significant experience in braking systems, gearbox conversions and suspension components. They have a long list of preferred suppliers for projects that are outsourced on behalf of their customers to ensure consistent quality, timeliness and value.
Sandy Cortis Muffler Service provides installation of the complete RRS range of advanced suspension, brake and steering conversion kits for 1960 1987 unit-body Ford vehicles. The RRS products are highly engineered to provide killer looks and outstanding performance to classic Ford muscle cars. Products include strut systems, disc brake kits for front and rear, rack and pinion steering, three link rear suspension set ups, shock tower notching kits, reinforced control arms, tie rod adjuster sleeves, strut rod adjusters and race bred power steering pumps. All RRS components are manufactured to the highest quality and deliver modern car handling and performance characteristics for your classic Ford. A wide range of customers Fords have benefitted from this technology and installations have been carried out on sixties Mustangs, Fairlane and Australian Fords from the sixties and seventies.
There is a large, light and airy workshop with ample space to provide the services listed above. In the workshop are four hoists and a large range of exhaust components held in stock to ensure prompt turnaround times for customers. Off street parking is provided at the front of the building for anyone wishing to drop by and discuss their requirements with the staff.
Over the years there have been many classic cars through the workshop including hot rods, Morgan, Jaguars, local and American muscle cars and Variety Club Bash entrants. Glenn owns a Valiant S series which is currently undergoing an extensive restoration and is a member of the R & S Valiant Series Car Club of NSW.
