Big Als Poker Run, WA
CHARLES PATERSON PARK, BURSWOOD
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
First held in 1981, Big Al's Poker Run has become one of Perth's most well known hot rod events. In the past 30 years, the Poker Run has grown from an initial entrant number of 52 in 1981 to a record 850 for its 21st celebration run in 2001.
Due to the steady growth of the event, the demand on resources and the restricted space available at venues, entry to the event is restricted to hot rods, customs, classics and cars manufactured in Australia prior to January 1st, 1978.
Always intended as an event for hot rods and cars of American origin, the Pre-’78 cut-off recognises the classic Aussie muscle cars and cruisers that have always been part of the Poker Run. Holdens up to WB, Toranas up to LX and Geminis up to TD will ensure that those of you that love your Monaros, SLR/5000s and hot four Holdens aren't disappointed.
For the Blue Oval fans, Falcons up to XC, Fairlanes and LTDs up to ZH and Cortinas up to TE will still be able to enjoy Perth’s biggest cruise, while Mopar fans will be happy to know that the last of the Aussie-built Valiants — the CM — are also welcome.
Show 'n' Shine 10:00am - 4:00pm, 32nd Poker Run 4:00pm - 6:00pm, BBQ & Dance at destination 6:00pm - midnight.

Longford Revival Festival, TAS
PATEENA ROAD (THE FLYING MILE) IN LONGFORD, TASMANIA
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Longford Revival Festival celebrates an important chapter in Tasmania’s history and a vital part of the history of Longford and its surrounding regions. It is a celebration of the car races that took place from 1952 to 1968 in the town, but it is most importantly a celebration of the people that made it happen - their spirit that made Tasmania the focus of our nation, indeed, of many around the world.
The Revival Festival intends to keep the memories alive - of the cars, the people and the era. The Longford Revival Festival promises two fun filled days. Wine from the Tamar Valley, fine gourmet food, live 60s music, the greatest automotive collection ever put together in this state, and memories from the golden days of one of Tasmania’s oldest, and most famous towns.
It is a chance to see history, to touch history, in a totally modern facility on the great Flying Mile, part of the famous Longford track. One hundred magnificent machines from Australia and overseas, with performances daily.
Dress sixties style to impress and win fabulous prizes as well. If you loved the sixties, or want to tell your kids, or their kids, about that magic time, come to the Longford Revival Festival from March 24 to 25.

End of Season Cruise, VIC
Melbourne to Beechworth
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
By the end of April in Melbourne, the air cools down and the cloud cover and drizzle reminds us that Winters around the corner. At Let’s Go Cruisin’ we think that an early May weekend might just be the last opportunity to enjoy some Autumn cruisin’ before car enthusiasts turn their attention away from the open road and to what’s happening in their garages.
We’d like to invite all LGC Cruisers, street rodders, chrome bumper & muscle car enthusiasts to our ‘End of Season’ cruise to ‘Drive Back in Time’ hosted in the historic town of Beechworth in the NE of Victoria. Beechworth is one of Australia’s premier tourist regional towns with great history and preserved colonial buildings. This time of year, the weather is usually cooling down but the days can still be clear & sunny. Local car enthusiasts have hosted this annual event for many years and it offers visitors an opportunity to spend time in the town as their guests.
The event kicks off with an entrant’s BBQ lunch on Saturday, followed by an activity in the afternoon, shed tours, places of interest etc. On Sunday there is a show & shine held in the closed off main streets of the town. The day has a lot of ‘country fair’ about it with stationary engines, historic displays, etc. There’s no need to pre register, and of course, there’s the town and its history to explore as well as many attractions nearby if you decide to follow your own itinerary after arriving. There’s always the original ‘Beechworth Bakery’ to get lost in as well.

Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The Australian International Motor Show is the recognised industry showcase event, through which vehicle manufacturers choose to display the latest innovations and advances including safety, environmental and vehicle designs to Australian consumers and motoring enthusiasts alike.
The Australian International Motor show (AIMS) is an annual auto show held biennially between Melbourne and Sydney. Both cities have a long running history of motor shows, Melbourne held an annual show from 1925 - 2009 establishing it as Australia’s longest running motor show. From 2004 the Sydney Motor Show adopted the name Australian International Motor Show, this was in respect of the global prestige the show had developed, being recognised globally in the top ten automotive shows.
Prior to the staging of the 2008 Sydney show, the Organisers - the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) met with the Melbourne motor show organisers - the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC). It was announced after the culmination of these discussions on February 3rd, 2009 that the FCAI and VACC would partake in a Joint Venture, alternating the show between the two cities. The Australian International Motor Show Joint Venture was hosted last year in Melbourne with Sydney hosting the 2012 event.
