Motorvation, WA

PERTH MOTORPLEX, CORNER ANKETELL & ROCKINGHAM ROADS. KWINANA BEACH

10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Australia’s longest running car show will continue in 2017 with Motorvation 31 set down for January 21. A one day format and a massive reduction in entry fees are the big news in a year of change for the venue.

The new schedule will make for as entertaining a day as possible for both entrants and spectators, fitting in everything that makes Motorvation great. Instead of limited Super Cruises on the long route through the drag strip and return road throughout the day as in past years, cruising will be open practically non-stop until 4pm, alternating between MV Muscle Cruise, Super Cruise and Smooth Cruise, providing opportunities aplenty for any style of driving – from family friendly to more ‘spirited’ tyre spinning adventures.

From 4pm general cruising will be limited to the pits as the Megaskid competition begins, though there will be one more opportunity to Smooth Cruise in front of the crowd before the awesome KFC Burnouts begin from 5.30pm.

Changes have been made to the show part of Motorvation 31, with the Elite Pavilion being rested for 2017, but there will still be a judged Show and Shine as well as the Audio Precision Sound Off and Miss Motorvation across the event, making for an atmosphere-filled venue.

Historic Motor Vehicle Gathering, SA

PARK 23, WESTERN SIDE OF ANZAC HIGHWAY BETWEEN THE KESWICK BRIDGE AND WEST TERRACE

10:30 AM - 2:30 PM

More than 200 veteran and vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles will converge on the Adelaide Parklands for a public display on Sunday 19th March 2017. Organised by The Vintage Sports Car Club of South Australia, the 10th annual Historic Motor Display Day is exclusively for vehicles built before 1931.

This display will give the public a chance to see just how quickly vehicles evolved in the first few decades of the past century.

Everything from spindly, single-cylinder cars and bikes well over 100 years old capable of just 40kph to large eight-cylinder, luxury vehicles from the height of the "Roaring Twenties" more than capable of mixing it with modern traffic will be on display. This is not just a great opportunity to see the history of motoring but a chance to meet and talk with the custodians of these vehicles and marvel at the development, design and grandeur of these magnificent machines.

This is also an opportunity for younger people to see 'up close and personal' relics from an era of motoring very few living people truly remember thus helping to foster and preserve an interest in the historic vehicle movement.

The vehicles will be displayed in Park 23 on the western side of Anzac Highway between the Keswick Bridge and West Terrace from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

There is no admission charge for entrants and spectators, and free parking has been arranged in a special section in the same grounds. Enter by travelling north on Anzac Highway. There will be catering on-site.
