Mid Winter Cruise, VIC
Car park, River Street, Healseville
10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
The first Sunday in July will again bring the sound of rumbling engines to the ranges north east of Melbourne when we host our Mid Winter Cruise to Healesville.
We figure there's enough hardy enthusiasts willing to again enjoy a brisk winters day cruising in their favourite car even if the windows are up and the heater's cranked. So rain, hail or shine, we've arranged another Mid Winter cruise with a trivia quiz to put a little fun & competition into the Cruise.
Destination is the car park in River St Healesville for a fun day enjoying this famous tourist town's many great facilities. Have a hearty hot lunch in one of the many pubs or cafes, take the kids for a ride on the railway's trolley car or perhaps go on to the Healesville Sanctuary.
Cost $5 per car. Registered entrants will receive a lucky entrant's ticket and we'll have lots of prizes to give away. Prizes drawn at 2:30pm in front of the LGC tent.

40th Anniversary Spring Rally, VIC
Wangaratta Airport and touring the district
3:00 PM - 2:30 PM
We invite you to join us for our Special 40th Anniversary Spring Rally and to those who have supported us over the past years we welcome your company again. We would also welcome new entrants to take part in this our SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY RALLY. I am sure that you will find this year’s event to be an interesting, friendly and very well organised one.
Friday afternoon we will commence at 3pm with our usual get together at Wangaratta Airport, where your can collect your Rally packs, and meet up with old friends. As usual there will be hot soup, sandwiches and slices commencing at 6pm. There will be no charge for this light meal.
Saturday 19th we will again gather at the Airport at 9am and park in vehicle category order. Morning tea will be served until we depart at 10.30 for a 75km drive to Corowa R.S.L via Rutherglen, where lunch will be served at 12.30. You are required by law to “sign in”, however this will be done as you collect your Rally pack at the airport to save congestion at the Club. Afterwards you can explore Max’s Motor Museum and the Federation Museum, both of which are worth a look, or you may choose to visit some of the many wineries in the area before returning to Wangaratta.
Saturday evening Dinner Dance will be at the Wangaratta Airport. The log fire and the gas heaters will be going when you arrive from 6.30 for dinner to be served at 7pm. As this is our “Ruby Anniversary”, the theme for the night is a “Ruby Red Extravaganza” so you are invited to wear ANY THING RED. Our popular bush band “JIGID” will be entertaining you with your favourite bush ballads and toe tapping music, and during the evening there will be a number of lucky draws. Please note that as there are no bar facilities at the Airport, this will be a B.Y.O evening.
Sunday 20th we will meet again at Wangaratta Airport and park in category order to simplify judging. Morning tea will be available until we depart at 10am for a short drive to Milawa, approx 12km where you will be free to visit the Cheese factory, Milawa Mustards or the many wineries in the area. You should then return to the Airport for a spit roast lunch at 12.30. The drawing of the raffle prizes will be carried out during lunch followed by the presentation of trophies. We plan to finish early for the benefit of those who have a long distance to travel.

Bay to Birdwood Run, SA
Bay to National Motor Museum at Birdwood
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
On the last Sunday in September more than 1,500 historic vehicles will line up for the “Classic” Bay to Birdwood event. The 2009 Classic will be for vehicles manufactured between 1 January 1956 and 31 December 1977.
The sun will not yet have risen over the Adelaide Hills when the very first vehicles start arriving at Adelaide Shores. Breakfast With The Cars has become a tradition and this is the spectators' opportunity to mix 'n mingle with entrants and their vehicles. Enjoy a range of breakfasts provided by local service organisations washed down with jazz and line the start ahead of the flag off at 9am. It takes approximately 1.5 hours for all entrant vehicles to depart on the route to Birdwood - give them a send off they won't forget!
Vehicles head down West Beach Road turning right into Tapleys Hill Road then left into Anzac Highway. Their journey through metropolitan Adelaide en route to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood enables the spectators who line the 72km route to see Australia's greatest motoring show on wheels pass right in front of them - 2 hours of motoring history!
There's something for everyone at the Finish. The gates open at the National Motor Museum at 10am with the first entrant vehicles usually arriving approximately 10:30am just as the main stage entertainment program gets under way. Admission to the Finish includes entry into the National Motor Museum so take a walk through motoring history and see the latest Exhibition. Wander amongst the Concours d'elegance vehicles during the judging, pick up your pre-ordered picnic basket, dress in the era of the event and you could be selected by roving judges as finalist in the Fashions in The Field. There is also a wide choice of food stalls as well as activities just for the kids.
The closing date for entries is 14 August and the 2005 and 2007 events were fully subscribed at the 1750 vehicle cut off. Please see website for entry forms.

Autofest Mt Gambier, SA
Mount Gambier
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Australia’s longest running Street Machine motoring event. The Mount Gambier Show N Shine has just celebrated their 30th anniversary and was seriously looking at ceasing this landmark show and after hearing of this we immediately contacted the organisers, talks were held with the South East street Machines, Mount Gambier City Council as well as the A&H Show Society and a partnership was formed to continue the event with Autofest steering it back to one of South Australia’s premier events.
Between us we could see the benefits of combining resources and by adding the Autofest trademark driving events whilst witnessing some of the most powerful cars compete side by side in events such as the Go To Whoa, Motorkana, Car Audio Competition, Dyno Challenge and the fiercely competitive Burnout Title and of coarse the static display Show N Shine it is anticipated that the Mount Gambier event will have more appeal than ever to both Competitors and Visitors. Street Rods, Street Machines, Restored or Kustom are All Welcome.
