Last year 523 vehicles attended and this year there is a new dust free venue which is huge with heaps of grass, concrete and tarred areas as well as indoor areas. The main focus will still be a fun affordable family event with heaps of entertainment for everyone.

Remote control cars, large slot car track, rocker cover racing, Rock N Roll Dancing, Bands, club and team Tug a Wars. The event will still consist of the Show n Shine for Cars, Bikes & Trucks, Car Audio Sound Off, heaps of activities and games, traders, demonstrations. Judging of low rider bikes, crazy cruiser/pedal car for adults and kids, little princess comp, drive A Race Car advanced simulator, colouring in Comp, amusement rides, free show bags, Bexterity 50’s retro and Pinup girls and Photography, emergency service displays, face painting and hair colouring for the kids and heaps more.

The truck show will be the biggest it has ever been this year with an estimated 60 rigs taking part in the event, The Bike show which is mostly indoors is sure to attract many standout bikes and the Car show will feature a diverse range of vehicles including many Pro Street & Drag Cars that will be firing them up during the event.

The Friday night town cruise, BBQ and band night should be great with a lot of businesses staying open late and a lot of different entertainment at different venues into being offered, the night is in the style of a hot rod cruise night for all vehicles.

The annual Leyburn Sprints for historic and classic cars on the Darling Downs is expecting record times and better-quality fields after confirming that a slick new surface will be laid on the round-the-houses track for this year’s event in August.

The Leyburn Sprints, which celebrate the running of the 1949 Australian Grand Prix on a wartime airfield near the town, is in its 15th year. Entry to the Sprints is by invitation and applications close on 1 July.

Expected to attract up to 210 historic racing and classic cars from past eras, plus some celebrity drivers, the Sprints is one of the Darling Downs’ biggest motorsport events. It is renowned throughout the Australian racing movement for its mix of history, lively competition and friendly country atmosphere.

The historic little town, 220 kms south-west of Brisbane, comes alive for the Sprints as competitors and spectators set up for the weekend in the campground, in residents’ front yards, at the roadside or in the back yard of Queensland's oldest continuously-licensed hotel, which dates from 1863.

The GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival is more than a hot rod show. The GreazeFest is a multi-faceted event that embraces hot rods, rockabilly music, jive dancing, tattoos, kustom art culture and vintage fashions.

This year the GreazeFest will move to a new location at the Rocklea Showground. The larger site will see the creation of a bigger and better GreazeFest with two live music stages, one hundred market stalls, a sprawling hot rod display, fashion parades, kids rides, plus public parking, food and refreshments.

A selection of hot rod entrants will be awarded a GreazeFest trophy. New categories have been included this year such as King Classic (pre-1970), King Aussie (pre-1970 Australian), King Choice (people’s choice), plus old fav’s King Rat (rat rod), King Kustom (custom) and Trophy Queen (female driver). Twelve live bands plus djs will be performing across two music stages, including The Retro Rockets, The Ten Fours, Miss Teresa & Her Rhythmaires, West Texas Crude and many more.

Gloucester Chill Out Day Show n Shine, NSW

The Mid North Coast Ford Owners Club is hosting a motor show in Gloucester NSW on the 31st of July, which will be held in conjunction with the Gloucester Chill Out day. This year we encourage all vehicles to be present before 8:45 AM and the show starting at 9:00 AM (cars may enter from 7:30 AM).

The Gloucester Chill Out Day host various stalls with wood chopping, face painting, market stalls and for the kids pony rides and pet shows. This event each year attracts around 5000 + people, where the main street of Gloucester is shut down and is used for market stalls and walkways.

Invitations are open to the general public and we are also hoping to attract a large variety of motorcycles this year with no restrictions of age or make and model. Anybody that owns a motor vehicle or motorcycle is very welcome to enter. Prize money and trophies are handed out to category winners.

Volkswagen Spectacular, NSW

The 18th Volkswagen Spectacular will take place this year on the 29th July – 2nd August at the Valla Beach Tourist Park. If you love Volkswagens or are just looking for an enjoyable weekend head to the beautiful Nambucca Valley and check out the action.

The event draws Volkswagen enthusiasts from all over the country and they arrive driving split window kombi's , karman ghias, notch backs, fast backs, station wagons, T4's, kubel wagens, manx buggies and of course the original car of the people – the beetle.

Thursday is the start of the racing at Raleigh Raceway. Several of the drivers endeavour to put on a show for the punters slipping and sliding all over the track. Grab a blanket, the picnic basket, the family and "get your backside - trackside" if you feel so inclined. During the evening participants enjoy a casual welcome dinner and cruise around the Nambucca Township.

Friday is the second day of racing at Raleigh raceway. Late arrivals and those that posted less than impressive lap times have a chance to impress. Then it’s back to Valla Beach Tourist Park for a bistro and event registration.

Saturday morning is the spectacle of the Spectacular with all of the participating vehicles joining in a parade into the local township of Nambucca Heads. The parade travels along the Pacific Highway under escort of the local police and arrives in the main street.

Upon arrival the cars are all parked in the main street that is blocked off to traffic during the Saturday morning. If all this Volkswagen fever gets you inspired then head out to the Valla Beach Tourist Park. There you will find a collection of everything you need at the swap meet from chrome plated wheel nuts to underwear with strategically placed beetles.

Sunday will see the cars on display at the Valla Beach Tourist Park for the judging of the trophy categories for the weekend. The trophies are awarded to the top 10 VW’s of the event. These are awarded at the presentation on Sunday afternoon.

The judging and presentation gives the public and participants an opportunity to check out the best of the best. There will also be local markets and a great array of food available on Sunday so bring the kids and make a day of it.

Cure 4 Cancer Car Show, QLD

The Cure 4 Cancer car show is on again and this year it'll be a weekend event with the car show itself being held on Saturday 17th July at Hinkler Central shopping centre in Bundaberg. A cruise/ toy run for sick kids and kids with cancer is being held on Sunday the 18th, starting in the street next to the shopping centre then heading out to South Kolan where everyone can relax and unwind. And Autobarn will be holding the 2nd round for their sound off competition.

Set up time for the car show is from 6am to 8am, gates will open to the public at 9am finishing at 3pm, this is when the trophy presentation will take place in the car park where the car show is being held.

A goody bag will be given to the first 100 entrants who have paid and entered. Entry fee is $15 per car and $5 per bike, there will be two parks given for each car. Entry fees on the day will be $25 per car and $10 per bike; all entrants will be given a number as they come through the gate. Also please let me know if your part of a club so that I can make sure there’s enough room.

This venue has better views across Lake Burley Griffin and is highly visible to passing traffic.

Date is Sunday 20 June from 9am to 3pm. The event is again being sponsored by Shannons. Last year the event was attended by 57 vehicles, including a number from Sydney, with the French side being victors yet again although the Brits won most of the door prizes - bottles of "The Arrogant Frog".

You also must attend a minimum of three (3) of the four (4) rounds to claim any prizes awarded at the Grand Final. (i.e. Rds 1-3-4, 1-2-4, 2-3-4).

Vehicles must be genuine registered, street driven, and show various markings that are consistent with same. (on and off the trailer does not constitute street driven).

Obviously Competition category cannot be street driven/ridden. This is the only category that will permit trailered Vehicles. Vehicle must be genuine Competition vehicle only. This category will share in overall Trophies and Prizes.

Elite or Trailer vehicles will not qualify for major Trophies, (Best of Show, Best Categories nor Rare Spares Real Street Top Ten Trophies, etc.) at series Rounds nor Grand Final.

The winners will be determined by secret point score basis and presented with overall major prizes at the Grand Final Showdown. Trophy winners in any class or category MUST be at presentations to accept trophy at all rounds and Grand Final, otherwise next best shall receive the trophy. The point score will be overseen by Shannons Insurance and AutoGlym for authenticity.

Then the Powerskid competition will light up the straight followed by Off Street drags, more cruising, the Hour of Power which funnily enough only goes for half an hour as the best of the best just can’t seem to cop a flogging for a good hour. Then we got more cruising, followed by the burnout comp and if we got time, might just have to see what’s on the main stage from then on…

Italian Connection Trophy, NSW to VIC

The Italian Connection Trophy is a social motoring event that supports the Duchenne Foundation, raising money for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an extreme degenerative disease that attacks young boys.

The event runs from Friday, May 21 to Sunday, May 23, linking Australia's most famous ‘Little Italy’ districts, Norton Street in Leichhardt (Sydney) and Lygon Street in Carlton (Melbourne).

The first two years the event was run (2008, 2009), it was won by Alfa Romeos, so it seems fitting that Ateco Automotive, which distributes Alfa Romeo in Australia, is providing an Alfa Romeo 159 JTDm to be used in the event by Angela Solomou and Tiina Raikko, committee members from the Duchenne Foundation and the Trophy’s first all-female team.

“We’re very grateful to Alfa Romeo for supporting the event, especially during its centenary year,” says event director Robert Gunn, who was with the ladies when they collected the car for a familiarisation run.

This is the third year the event has been run. This year’s goal is raising $100,000 to fund research into muscle deterioration. The research will contribute to the development of new drugs to prolong the mobility of boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and, hopefully, help find a cure.

The motoring tour is open to any type of European car, of any age, and the current entry list includes everything from a 1972 Lancia Fulvia through to a 2009 VW – with a wide range of Alfa Romeos and other marques in between.

Entrants are assured of having fun, especially during the overnight stops in Gundagai in southern NSW, and Myrtleford in northern Victoria. Both towns are providing plenty of good Italian food and wine to welcome competitors at the end of each day and Myrtleford has a special Italian Festa to celebrate the event.

The rally only uses sealed roads, but it’s not just a straight run down the Hume Highway. The event’s Clerk of Course is Jeff Whitten, well known in Australian rallying circles, and he has chosen some of the best driving roads in both states. The resulting route is both fun to drive, and spectacular.

Entry fee for the Italian Connection Trophy is $2300, which covers breakfast, dinner and accommodation for both the driver and co-driver/navigator as well as a donation. More funds will be raised through other activities across the weekend.

Racing will be run on a Quick4 format with all racers to receive a minimum of 4 runs each per Class on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. There will be Finals on Sunday which will be decided by finding the quickest 2 entrants of each class to face off for the win and runner-up.

This year our annual Show & Shine event is Sunday 18th April 2010 from 9am till 2pm at Strand Park Townsville with Trophy presentation at 1pm.

All makes of vehicles are welcome and there are a lot of trophies to be presented. The public has free entry to view all the cars and enjoy the activities. Trade displays by sponsors are most welcome.

The 13th FE-FC Holden Nationals will be held over the Easter weekend 2010. The event is being hosted by the FE-FC Holden Car Club of NSW, and celebrates the 50th anniversary of Touring Car Racing in Australia, at the birthplace of the ATC Championship, the Gnoo Blas Circuit in Orange, NSW.

The Nationals are a full weekend of early Holden entertainment, with meals, a super-cruise, a street display and the Show 'n' Shine. The event will culminate on Easter Monday with a lap of Mt Panorama in Bathurst.

We are aiming for 150 FEs and FCs on display at Sir Jack Brabham Park.
Vehicle entry is open to members of the FE-FC Holden Car Clubs of Australia, and other invited clubs. The Show and Shine events will be open and free to the public.

Vehicles will eligible for trophies in a range of categories: Stock, for original/restored vehicles, Street for mildly modified/modernised and "period style hottie", and Modified for significantly modified or customised vehicles. Entries close 31st January, 2010.

The largest classic motorsport meeting in the Southern Hemisphere this year celebrating 100 years of Alfa Romeo, with over 30 events for vehicles from the 1930s to 1990s. Up to 100 Alfa Romeos, including famous racing Alfas from Australia and overseas will be joined at the Italian-flavoured meeting by many well-known former Alfa drivers, including event patron Kevin Bartlett.

The entry of up to 500 touring, sports and racing cars will also include a record number of Formula 5000 racing cars. The Bairnsdale Motor Expo is on again with a huge variety of activities for the whole family. Friday is set up day, Saturday features a Car Show and market day and on Sunday there is a swap meet and bucket run.

Saturday's car show is from 9am-3pm. Entrants showing their cars - $5 which includes a raffle ticket with a great prize. Public - $5 entry, $10 per family. Sunday swap meet at the racecourse and bucket run at the local drag strip for a gold coin donation.

Displays will also include motor bikes from vintage to modern, chopper to bobber, boats, go-carts, model planes and other hobbies. Other activities over the weekend will include music and dance displays by local artists, drag racing and a rock and roll night on Saturday. There will also be side shows such as dodgem cars and a bouncy castle. There will be something for everyone, even a swap meet and market stalls.

This event is an annual community fundraising event. This year’s project is an All-abilities Playground at Bairnsdale.

There will be exclusive parking areas allocated for pre-1976 and American special interest vehicles on the foreshore area next to the bridge with 50’s lifestyle traders setting up in the grassed areas.

This is a thank you event to the community for supporting us at the Kustom Nationals so overwhelmingly, with many raffles and give-a-ways throughout the day and all proceeds going to children’s charity.

Entertainment for the day will be provided by two very popular bands which have huge followings, the Atomic Hi-Tones and Jump N’ Jive starting at 11.15 am and finishing at 3.15 pm!

The popular North Coast Street Machine annual “Show-n-Shine” features a variety of Street Machines, Vintage & Veteran cars, Hot Rods and special interest vehicles.

Entrants and visitors come along and display and view their pride & joy while enjoying all the activities on hand. There is always great music with our DJ Lionel and rock n roll displays and dancing.

A number of trade displays are there to give you a run down on their merchandise.
The venue is fully catered for and amusements are on the grounds to keep the kids occupied as well as a colouring competition to keep the kids amused.

Tappet Cover Racing is on the increase, so read up on the specifications and have a go at building your own racer, you never know – you might come up with the winning formula. This fun event is for the little kids as well as big kids. The wheel changing competition was a fun event again this year and will be on again at our next show– get together a team , great fun for all!

The Jaguar marque is known for demonstrating “Grace, Pace and Space”.

More than 250 gleaming Jaguars are expected from the pre-war classics to current models including the latest aluminium-bodied cars.

As well as the display to promote the marque, this annual gathering will also judge club members’ cars in two classes, Concours D’Elegance for outright authenticity and original condition and Enthusiast Class for pride of ownership.

This event was established in December 2005 with simple intent of providing pre '75 chrome bumper era car owners based on the Mornington Peninsula and the South East suburbs of Melbourne with a low key, low cost and family friendly opportunity to get together. It has grown in popularity and we now regularly have 150+ cars cruisin' in. All pre '75 cars from the “chrome bumper era” are welcome whether stock, modified, rodded, chopped or slammed.

Cars start arriving around 5:30pm and have pretty much headed home by around 9:00pm.

Welcome to the 2009 Wodonga Lions Club Motorbike Show & Shine. The aim of the show is to exhibit a range of motorcycles from the early 1900’s through to modern era, including vintage, veteran, classic and custom bikes and is designed as a community event to raise money for charity.

Our Goal is to be able to offer the entrants a reasonably priced show, but also have driving events, an all day cruise track, buildings for trade sites, a grass area for the show n shine, camping onsite, club discounts a T-Shirt and still have the ability to support local charities via public admission.

A great weekend of motoring and social events will again be hosted by the ACT Small Ford Owners Club in Canberra over the weekend 23—25 October. The weekend will be the 10th anniversary of the event and it is a great opportunity to make new friends, partake in events, admire and inspect numerous models of small fords, relax, have some fun and win some great prizes.

The weekend begins on Friday evening with a Meet & Greet at Cahoots Bar, Rydges Lakeside. This is the time for participants to reacquaint and to meet and welcome the growing number of new enthusiasts.

Saturday morning starts with a big breakfast at a location providing spectacular views of iconic sights of Canberra across Lake Burley Griffin. Following on from breakfast is a challenging and interesting observation run, finishing with a barbecue lunch and a large static display of vehicles at Acton Peninsula. Saturday night is one of the many highlights of the weekend with a dinner and trivia night. This year the night will commence with a pre-dinner wine tasting and appreciation. Following on participants can relax, socialise and have some fun with an entertaining night of challenging and fun trivia.

Sunday morning participants will have earned a good sleep in before meeting for breakfast in Bobby McGee’s Restaurant at Rydges Lakeside. Following a leisurely breakfast, a ‘poker run’ will take place culminating with lunch at Lerida Estate Winery at Lake George and farewells until next year.

The event continues to grow in popularity and is now in its 10th year, with participants travelling from as far as Queensland, SA, Victoria and NSW. Old Cars at Old Bar is a gathering of vintage, veteran and classic cars which come to display and participate for prizes on the Saturday of the October Long Weekend.

Car clubs and individual enthusiasts from all over Australia attend this annual event which is sponsored by Mid Coast Mahindra.

The event is part of the annual Old Bar Beach Festival which also features a massive array of Kombis and Transporters attempting to break the world record for the most number of Kombis in one place. Owners are encouraged to bring their spare parts and participate in the annual swap meet which is held in conjunction with this event.

Vehicle marshalling will commence at 8am and all vehicles have to remain in position until 3pm. Assemble at the car park adjacent to the airstrip. The Old Bar Classic for 2009 will include a wider range of categories. Judging will take place in the following categories - Street Machines, Classics, Low riders, Aust. & American Muscle Cars, Custom & Harley Bikes, Hot Rods, Vintage and Veteran.

A trophy will be given to the winners of each category and there is a registration fee of $10 for the Show and Shine Only. This includes a 2010 calendar and a welcome pack. Competition judged at 2pm.

40th Anniversary Spring Rally, VIC

We invite you to join us for our Special 40th Anniversary Spring Rally and to those who have supported us over the past years we welcome your company again. We would also welcome new entrants to take part in this our SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY RALLY. I am sure that you will find this year’s event to be an interesting, friendly and very well organised one.

Friday afternoon we will commence at 3pm with our usual get together at Wangaratta Airport, where your can collect your Rally packs, and meet up with old friends. As usual there will be hot soup, sandwiches and slices commencing at 6pm. There will be no charge for this light meal.

Saturday 19th we will again gather at the Airport at 9am and park in vehicle category order. Morning tea will be served until we depart at 10.30 for a 75km drive to Corowa R.S.L via Rutherglen, where lunch will be served at 12.30. You are required by law to “sign in”, however this will be done as you collect your Rally pack at the airport to save congestion at the Club. Afterwards you can explore Max’s Motor Museum and the Federation Museum, both of which are worth a look, or you may choose to visit some of the many wineries in the area before returning to Wangaratta.

Saturday evening Dinner Dance will be at the Wangaratta Airport. The log fire and the gas heaters will be going when you arrive from 6.30 for dinner to be served at 7pm. As this is our “Ruby Anniversary”, the theme for the night is a “Ruby Red Extravaganza” so you are invited to wear ANY THING RED. Our popular bush band “JIGID” will be entertaining you with your favourite bush ballads and toe tapping music, and during the evening there will be a number of lucky draws. Please note that as there are no bar facilities at the Airport, this will be a B.Y.O evening.

Sunday 20th we will meet again at Wangaratta Airport and park in category order to simplify judging. Morning tea will be available until we depart at 10am for a short drive to Milawa, approx 12km where you will be free to visit the Cheese factory, Milawa Mustards or the many wineries in the area. You should then return to the Airport for a spit roast lunch at 12.30. The drawing of the raffle prizes will be carried out during lunch followed by the presentation of trophies. We plan to finish early for the benefit of those who have a long distance to travel.

This year we will be celebrating 30 years since the iconic Ford Falcon Hardtop last graced Bathurst and racetracks around Australia.

To celebrate this milestone the Ford Coupe Club of Australia (VIC) Inc presents the Hardtop Anniversary 2009. This will be a two day extravaganza for Coupe owners and coupe lovers in general. This could be best described as "Coupetopia"

The event is open to all Ford Hardtops manufactured between 1972 to 1979. This encompasses all variations of XA,XB,XC and Landau Coupes. Last time round we had approximately 78 coupes participating in the event - This year we are hoping to "Top the Ton!"

Melrose Country Roads Charity Cruise 2009 Supported by South Australian Rod & Custom Club in conjunction with the South Australian Community of Melrose at the base of the beautiful Flinders Ranges.

SARRC are revving their way back to Melrose SA to raise funds for the local Primary School. We start the weekend off by meeting & collecting our survival kit & collection cans from Gawler where breakfast is enjoyed at a local cafe. Then it is convoy style cruising to Melrose with a picnic lunch & fun along the way arriving Melrose approx 2 - 3pm Friday afternoon.

Short visit to the Melrose Primary School to say hello to the children. Settle into our respective accommodation & then head to the local Bowls club for a country cooked dinner & fun with bowls under lights.

Saturday we have a continental breakfast at the caravan park, poker run & then offer rides in rods to the community for gold coin donations, then a progressive 3 course dinner followed by a dance in the local Town Hall themed Wild Wild West with band from Adelaide "Pulse" playing great music from the 60's through to present day from 8pm to 1am all supported by the local Melrose school children & townsfolk.

Sunday we have another gourmet breakfast in the caravan park and a Show and Shine with car boot sale on the school oval, great lunch & presentations. Please join us if you can.

Entry is $110 per adult and $40 per child aged between 6 and 15 which includes all meals from Friday through to Sunday lunch and entry to all activities including poker run and the dance on Saturday night and the survival kit.

Cars and bikes will be on show from 12 noon in the soccer field next to the sports club. Each driver will be given a numbered ticket on arrival, so hold onto these tickets as there will be 10 lucky $40 fuel vouchers drawn at 3.15pm. Entry to the show is free, no trophies or judges, just a relaxing day out and a chance to show off your pride and joy. Every care is taken to ensure the safety of your bike or car and a safe distance is set up between each vehicle.

Sydney’s iconic Oran Park Raceway will host its final national-level race meeting on 29-30 August, Round Eight of the 2009 Shannons Nationals.

The event will be the final chapter in a 40-year history of national racing at the Camden circuit, with seven Shannons Nationals categories ready to provide a fitting farewell over two days.

The Formula 3 Australian Drivers Championship, Aussie Racing Cars, Australian Manufacturers Championship, V8 Touring Cars, Commodore Cup, Saloon Cars and Sports Sedans will feature at the event.

EH Holden Car Club 46th Anniversary Show and Shine, NSW

To celebrate the production and launch of the EH Holden, the Club holds a Show and Shine event on the weekend closest to the original launch date - 26th August 1963. This year the 46th Anniversary Day Show and Shine is on the 23rd August. The show is open to all makes and models.

The event is held in Silverwater Park and is a great day to check out original, restored and modified EH Holdens. Other Clubs also take the opportunity to show off their cars at the event, such as the V8 Holden Club and the Torana Club. In 2008 110 cars were entered. This is one of the biggest single Club run shows which attracts private entries as wells as entries from many other local and interstate Clubs.

$20 per car for entries received before 11th August 2009. Your entry will include a food and drink voucher. Early entrants are also eligible to purchase a made to order T-shirt for $20. $30 per car for entries received after 12th August 2009 and will not include any voucher. T Shirt(s) made to order are only for entrants who enter before 11th August 09. Spectators $2.

The 2009 Wheels On Wide Bay Street Sprints and Motoring Festival will once again follow the successful format of the previous years with the Australian Motorsport Enthusiasts Club Inc ensuring that race fans have plenty to see on and off the track at the Maryborough Showgrounds on the weekend of the June the 27th and 28th 2009.

A full field of 175 cars will be racing both days from 7.00 am. Event Secretary Mr Richard Ryland explains "The early start each day will ensure that competitors are able to gain the maximum amount of enjoyment from the challenging one kilometre track, whilst allowing time for the very popular Drift car demonstrations, as well as the exciting coloured tyre display. Off track activities include Trade Stands, Children's Rides, Plenty to eat and drink with two Licensed Bar Areas. A fun weekend for the whole family."

Expectations for in excess of 250 vehicles competing in a variety of classes, for trophies and bragging rights in 2009. Street sprints all day, huge car show, trade stands, kids rides, licensed bar areas, sound off, dyno shoot out and Queensland Round of the State Motorkhana Championship.

MID WINTER WANDER 2009, NSW

This is an invitation from the Newcastle Restored Vehicle Club and our sponsors to once again join us for a drive from Glendale to Pokolbin. Those who remember this event from last year will know that more than 600 unique and desirable vehicles made the journey despite the less than favourable weather, and this year looks to be even bigger.

Pass on your clubs intentions and best estimate of numbers attending to assist our catering and parking preparations.

The event will commence from 7.00 am Sunday 21 June 2009 at the Stockland Shopping Centre Glendale. We expect most participants to be on the way to Hunter Valley Gardens by 9.30 am. The route, same as last year will be sign posted all the way with distinctive direction signs.

Once again 15 vehicles will be chosen by 5 volunteers from different clubs and of these, 3 will be selected by a person from the Hunter Valley Gardens staff to receive vehicle of the show prizes. A new concept will be tested this year with a beauty parade for cars at the Glendale Shopping Centre. La Parade’de Elegance. We will accept nominations from up to 30 vehicles who feel they are just that little bit better than most. These 30 will be required to parade 3 times around a marked route at the Shopping Centre, past 5 judges in separate locations. Each judge will score each vehicle 3 times. The results tallied and the best 3 awarded the sponsors prize. To commit entries to this parade there will be a $5.00 entry fee which will be added to the final prize list total. Entry fee will be accepted on the day but nominations will be accepted on a first in basis from the delivery of this letter.

This event is not intended to be a race or rally but rather, motoring enthusiasts out sharing the passion. On arrival at the Hunter Valley Gardens marshals will direct you where to park and you will be free to take advantage of the facilities either in the gardens or the village or the various catering and amusement venues.

On Saturday 6th June in conjunction with the farmers markets a Show n Shine for FX and FJ Holdens will be held at the Wingham Showgrounds. The mayor will present the major trophy for the event.

Gates open at 9am and entry is a gold coin donation. Money raised will be donated to the Nita Reid Dialysis Centre in Manning Hospital, Taree.

Sunday will be an observation run of approximately seventy miles through the local district with prizes awarded for those that successfully negotiate the course. The vehicle assembly point is opposite the Wingham Post Office at 9.30am.

Display vehicles gate is open from 7.00am to 9.00am and there is no exit before 3.30pm. Your clubs CFC ticket holder display vehicles will have a special display area. Additional space is available for non CFC ticket holders in the general display area only at $20 per display vehicle payable upon entry.

Albany burst onto the motor racing scene in 1936 with the birth of round the houses-style motorsport causing a revolution. Today crowds still line the streets to witness the enthralling sights of vintage and classic cars taking part in the annual Motor event.

The Weedkender 2009 Albany Classic weekend is a family friendly event, with activities to satisfy everybody who comes along – we know it's not just about the cars. The event encompasses the Dog Rock Boulevarde Mount Clarence Hill Climb on Saturday, the 'Round-the-Houses' re-enactment on Sunday and the Dog Rock Boulevarde Wind Farm Hill Climb on Monday.

Everything from pre war specials with wooden or wire spoke wheels to mighty Aussie V8's. Check out British and Italian sports cars, exotic open wheeler racers from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, touring cars from Morris minor to Ford Falcon and a list of other wonderful machinery!

Wintersun 2009 starts on Friday 29th May and ends with the huge Best of Wintersun Concert on Monday 8th June. Featuring almost 1500 Hot Rods, Custom and Classic Cars, more than 100 bands and performers, dancing, movies, and competitions. The festival is held in the border coastal towns of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads on the New South Wales & Queensland border. Classic Vehicle & Historic Racing Car Display, VIC

In association with the 33rd Historic Winton, a static display of classic vehicles and historic racing cars will be presented from 3-5pm at the Benalla Civic Centre. The free display is proudly supported by the RACV, Benalla Rural City Council and The Austin 7 Club, organisers of Historic Winton.

The weekend at Winton Motor Raceway features two action-packed days of non-stop racing by more than 400 historic racing cars and motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s in 46 events, including 18 motorbike and sidecar races.

Well it seems just yesterday that we ran our first Powercruise in Darwin but all the fun makes the time pass quickly and here we are about to launch the 3rd installment at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Raceway. Supercheap Auto are once again the major sponsor of this event and we look forward to many more years of fun to come.

This year Darwin petrol heads will be happy to know that we are looking at involving more locals in the event by offering some support for entrants traveling long distances as well as those that have cars that don't just run on a smell of an oily rag. We are also looking at organising cruise ins as we have received a few requests from clubs that wanna come along for the day, slip out and have a few laps in a cruise and then park up in the show and shine for the rest of the day.

We have also reduced the price for entrants, we have now made camping at the track free for entrants and spectators so for those who wanna come out and make a weekend of it, there’s plenty of grass to pitch the tent, sit back and watch hundreds of Darwin’s toughest cars cruising, racing and drifting their way around Hidden Valley’s Raceway.
